Friends of Israel Educational Foundation: Clergy Study Programmes

Church Steps

It is a source of constant wonder that a tiny strip of land can arouse the religious passions and imagination of Jew, Christian, Moslem, Bahai - among other faith groups who venerate the Holy Land.

For a number of years, F.O.I. has participated in inter-faith seminars across the U.K. exploring the mystique of this Land. Much of this work has been conducted in association with the Council of Christians and Jews.

F.O.I. speakers are prepared to lecture to any Christian group, whether clergy or laity, in any part of the U.K.

ISRAEL AWARD PROGRAMME

Western Wall

F.O.I. offers a travel scholarship in support of Christian clergy who wish to spend sabbatical study leave in Israel.

Guided by a prestigious panel of adjudicators, F.O.I. furnishes grants to individual clergy seeking to deepen their personal knowledge of the Jewish roots of Christianity and gain a clearer sense of the complexities and nuances of life in the modern Jewish State of Israel.

These grants are available to individuals structuring their own personal study/research programme in Israel. F.O.I. will not pay for the course fees of pre-existing programmes in local study centres either in Israel or Palestine.
