Friends of Israel Educational Foundation: Young Artist Award

Negev Desert

Israel generally has seven clear, dry months per annum when the light is ideal for photographers and painters.

The indigenous population in Israel is largely literate and well-educated. The arts and innovation-in-general is much encouraged.

It is hardly surprising therefore that there is an abundance of locally produced Art within Israel. Some is superb; a lot admittedly pure ‘kitsch’.
